We are excited to announce the launch of our next Platform for Progress, and our first podcast – The Garden State Commune. Hosted by FTINJ co-founder John Gnesin, this podcast critically and humorously explores the structure of NJ politics from a progressive left viewpoint.
We look forward to releasing the first full episode in March and then monthly thereafter. You can become part of the conversation by sharing the podcast with your friends and sharing your comments and feedback with us. Thanks go out to The World Inferno Friendship Society for allowing us to use their anthem “My Ancestral Homeland: New Jersey” as our theme song and to FTINJ volunteer Sarah Dawson for her support in editing and distributing the podcast and creating the logo.
Our 2021 Agenda
Force the Issue NJ has 3 major goals for 2021. Each goal supports our mission of developing a centralized hub for New Jersey’s engaged citizens, activists and organizers. Your support is critical to our mission and your participation will help us build this organization into a true force for change in the Garden State.
New & Improved Platforms for Progress
We will complete the ongoing facelift of this website by mid-year – improving the appearance and functionality of our existing platforms, including our directory, calendar, and this news page. We are also developing a new Platform for Progress which we hope to announce and launch by the end of 2021.
If you are interested in joining our growing Data, Design & Development Team, please email us for more details.
You can also help us populate our current platforms by adding an amazing New Jersey non-profit or progressive organization to our directory or adding an upcoming event to our calendar.
New Media & Constant Content
Our second goal is to develop diverse and consistent content focused on activism and organization in New Jersey. These efforts include the launch of our first podcast, the Garden State Commune, as well as regular features on activists, organizers and candidates. We will continue to share informative journalism, calls to action and our usual assortment of hot takes on Facebook and Twitter.
If you are interested in joining our Media & Content Team to help us create original content covering activism and organizing in New Jersey, please email us for more details.
Broaden Engagement & Diversify Leadership
Our final goal is to increase engagement on all levels of this organization. We will not only build a larger audience and a base of support among New Jersey activists and organizers, but will also recruit diverse new talent and leadership.
If you are interested in joining our Leadership Team, and have experience in media, web-development, fund-raising and non-profit administration, we would love to hear from you. Please email us for more details.
If you are able to support us financially, you can donate to Force the Issue NJ, safely and securely, via ActBlue.
