Did you know that you have a say in where the boundaries of your political district are drawn?

If you didn’t, you’re not alone.

Many people think that drawing our district lines is something done solely by politicians and connected people behind closed doors.

But that’s not the whole story.

Because nobody knows your neighborhood and its interests like you do, redistricting commissions are supposed to listen to us – the public – when it comes to drawing these lines to respect our communities, our neighborhoods and our interests.

But they can only do that if they hear from us.

Maybe your community needs better snow removal. Maybe it needs more accessible transportation. Maybe you don’t have enough supermarkets.

If your district lines are drawn correctly, your community will be empowered to elect people who will be responsive to your needs.

Our virtual presentation, Setting Boundaries: Learn How to Raise Your Voice in the Redistricting Process, will teach you how to participate in public meetings where you can convey who makes up your community and why.

We know this process will be new to many, so we’ve got you covered.

Join us on Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m., when we’ll tell you everything you need to know to raise your voice in the redistricting process. Register at the Learn More link below!
