Event Details

Students all around NJ invite you to MARCH FOR OUR LUNGS to demand that Gov. Murphy reject the fracked-gas Meadowlands Power Plant proposed in North Bergen.

In addition to impacting the health of our local communities, this plant would be the single largest source of climate destroying carbon pollution in NJ! Our collective presence will show the governor that we need him to reject this dirty, dangerous and unnecessary power plant NOW before more permits for the plant get approved.

What: March 0.8 miles from Ridgefield Memorial High School to the site near the proposed power plant (behind the H-Mart in Ridgefield). Students will lead the way, but all ages are encouraged because we are stronger together!

When: Saturday, May 18, 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Where: Ridgefield Memorial High School, 555 Walnut St., Ridgefield, NJ

Other Considerations: Free parking at Ridgefield Memorial High School. Please carpool if you can! Also, we will have water bottle refill stations along the route so please bring a reusable water bottle!
